Air India is a flag carrier of India operating passenger and cargo flights within the country and abroad. The airline is nationalised and is governed by National Aviation Company of India Limited founded in 2007 with the purpose of merging Air India with Indian Airlines. The main hubs of the airline are Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport in Mumbai and Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi. Air India signed code-sharing agreements with 12 international airlines, which allows it operating flights to 130 airports of the world including 12 Indian airports. On 11 July 2014, Air India joined the Star Alliance.
